Our Community Is Strong And Resilient!
The Corona virus is not the only thing contagious right now. So are kindness, love, patience, calm, and a positive attitude. In the midst of this global crisis, please remember that the most important thing you can do to boost your immune system is stay centered, positive and peaceful.
Our collective healing and evolution has been the overarching mission of Soulful Power and Soulful Breathwork from its inception. The challenges of this time demand that we find new ways to live and heal with this mission at the forefront of our actions.
I look forward to sharing time with our community during virtual sessions and mini-retreats, where we will explore how to remain centered, how to embody love, healing and well-being so that it ripples out to those close to us during this time of quarantine, and ultimately out to our communities at-large. These virtual events will include guided meditations, inspiring discussions and community time.
I look forward to developing a deeper and richer relationship with you through this experience.

Love In The Time Of Corona: A virtual mini-retreat
How do we navigate our relationships during physical distancing?
May 3, 4:00-5:30PM EST
For some, isolated with loved ones, the increased time together will multiply the possibility of conflict and discord. Others, separated by distance or the necessity for quarantine, are suddenly realizing it may be days, weeks or months before the can be together with their lovers.
Single people are unexpectedly forced to go solo. How do we navigate the skin hunger, the need for touch and human contact at this time of physical distancing?
This program includes guided meditation, deeply inspiring conversations that will help you identify obstacles to embodying your soulful power, your soulful purpose, your soulful relationships.
You will emerge grounded, renewed and connected to a source of love from deep within you.
“Christian's virtual events have provided me with a safe landing zone during this crazy time. With my meditation and other healing practices out the window right now, Christian offers a compassionate and judgement free environment to discuss the challenges of this time, and practical ways to stay connected with my greater purpose." - Marjorie

Guided Meditations
The push to hurry up and stop found many people abandoning self-care rituals and practices that provide comfort, centering and well-being. Now more than ever, self-care is not selfish and it's not optional. It's mandatory.
Find a quiet place, sit or lie back comfortably, breathe and enjoy these guided meditations with Christian de la Huerta.
Centering & Breathing Practices
Quantum physics tells us everything is energy. That includes us. We are energy beings. We vibrate at different frequencies at different times.
These practices are intended to help you raise the frequency at which you vibrate. When vibrations are heightened—emotionally, spiritually and physically—we are more resilient.
This will be a powerful practice for us to practice in the days to come. I specifically chose the practice above so that we can begin to open and expand our chest and our breathing preventively.
Begin seated comfortably or lying down.
Round 1: Deep belly breathing. Place your hands on your belly. Taking 5 deep breaths; slow inhale, expanding all the way down into the belly, followed by a slow exhale.
Round 2: Rib cage breathing. Place your hands on each side of your lower rib cage. Taking 5 deep breaths, take a slow inhale, expanding your rib cage laterally, filling your mid-lungs as full as you can, followed by a slow exhale.
Round 3: Upper chest breathing. Interlock your fingers behind your head with the elbows up and out. Expand the elbows with each breath, taking 5 deep breaths; slow inhale, expanding fully into the upper lungs, followed by a slow exhale. Breathe into the upper chest, bringing about expansion in around the heart center.
Ways Manage Stress: Coherent Breathing
Close your eyes, sit or lay down so that you are comfortable.
Slowly inhale to a count of 6, slowly exhale to a count of 6. Make this a count that is comfortable for you and does not cause further stress.
Continue for approximately 5-10 minutes, or long enough to help dissolve the stress, fear or anxiety you are experiencing.
Light, Slow, Deep: Breathing to Calm the Mind & Stimulate the Immune System
This practice is inspired by Patrick McKeown. During this practice you will be breathing through your nose. Nose breathing helps release nitric oxide, a chemical that supports your immune system, expands your blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and has an all-over calming effect. (Humming on the exhale will also stimulates the immune system.)
Begin seated comfortably or lying down.
Breathing through the nose, breathe in slowly, filling the lungs
Exhale slowly, emptying the lungs. At the bottom of the exhale, hold for 5 seconds
Breathe normally in and out for 10 seconds
Begin again and repeat this process at least 20, but ideally 80-100 times consecutively.
Daily practices to help you keep your vibrational frequency high
1. Gratitude Practice. Tucked within the experiences of each day in isolation are nuggets of gold, whether they be a flower blooming outside the window, a clearing of the clouds, a friend or loved one who has recovered from COVID, a walk in nature. Every day, insert something here.
2. Engage in healing practices such as breathwork, yoga, meditation or getting out into nature—basically, engage in any practice that helps to transmute the emotions of this time and move them through our body.
3. Appreciate beauty. Create an altar and fill it with beautiful and meaningful items. Read poetry, discover new art or artists, create art, listen to music, create music, walk in nature.
4. Evoke love consciously. Fear and love cannot coexist. There is lots of sad news, critical news, anger, etc. Choose love. Build bridges; don't burn them. As a practice, think of someone or something that evokes the feelings of love in you. Keep those feelings going for a coupe of minutes as you slow down and deepen your breath.
5. How can you be of service? Focusing on a cause or someone else in need of help is a way to pop ourselves out of the ego mind where fear, worry and separation exist. Start a book club, or a prayer circle for someone who is suffering; check in with loved ones; deliver meals or offer financial support to those in need: support a local artist or musician who is out of work at this time. There are so many small and big ways to serve that will also help to pull you from feeling alone, isolated and helpless.
6. Practice mindfulness. Instead of getting lost in your mind and letting the emotions run amuck, have the experience, honor the emotions you are experiencing, but don't let it become all that you are.
7. Eat healthy food. It is your fuel and keeps your vibrations high!
8. Forgive yourself when all of the above practices fall apart. This, too, is normal. Be kind to yourself and others; this is a time for compassion all around.
9. You are so much greater than all your thoughts and emotions, so much greater than all of the circumstances of your life. This too shall pass. And ... you've got this!
